Turquoise Coast Painting Journey September 15 – 22, 2012

Dear Friends,

Turquoise Coast of Turkey is one of the great gems of the Mediterranean.

Join me on this weeklong journey on a Gulet (traditional Turkish sailing vessel), which has eight cabins with private bathroom with shower.

I am inviting a select few artist friends for this painting journey. We are planning on having a group show of our Turkish paintings sometime within a year after our return, possibly one in a state museum in Istanbul and another somewhere here in the States, venue to be determined.

The crew consist of a very experienced Captain Taner, who is a local gentleman that knows this breathtaking maze of coves and bays like the back of his hand and a talented cook, graduate of cooking academy with eight years of experience on the sea and shipmate or two to serve you at all times.

I have made this amazing journey twice both in September when the sea is so calm that one forgets being on a boat. Temperature is balmy and the azure/turquoise colored water is comfortably warm day and night. With its high salt content one floats effortlessly soaking up the minerals as Cleopatra did centuries ago. We will anchor by her Baths for couple of nights.

To get to the boat you have to fly into Istanbul where you want to spend a few days and see this marvelous city. From Istanbul board a one-hour flight to Dalaman International airport where I will meet you with a minibus and within a thirty-minute drive we will be at the boat.

Cost of this weeklong cruise is $1800 for single occupancy and $2250 double occupancy.

This includes your cabin, round trip shuttle ride from Dalaman Airport to the boat, three meals a day and high tea each afternoon. (Alcoholic beverages are not covered)

Once you decide, I will recommend places to stay in Istanbul and the flight #s for your arrival and departure times to and from Dalaman as we all have to arrive at the same time for the bus that will take us to the boat.

I need your deposit of $250 per person, ASAP, for I have to reserve the boat by January.

I am looking forward to a lovely trip.
